New Advent 30 Day What’s Up Challenge – Starting 1st December
The holiday season is often associated with joy and togetherness. However, for some of us it can be a time of increased stress, anxiety, and loneliness.
To help support young people’s emotional wellbeing over Christmas and New Year, TheSource has created an Advent 30 Day What’s Up Challenge.
What is the Advent 30 Day What’s Up Challenge?
It’s based on our original 30 Day What’s Up Challenge (see below) but we have revamped the challenges with a bit of festive spirit.
Each day in December, leading up to Christmas and New Year, you can complete an Advent 30 Day What’s Up Challenge and follow and share the challenges via our social media channels. The challenges will range from simple fun acts of self-care to more interactive tasks like reaching out to a friend or family member and expressing gratitude.
“Are you up for a challenge?”

How will the challenges help support my emotional health and wellbeing?
The challenges are inspired by the ‘five ways to wellbeing’ which are known to support your emotional health.
These are – ‘Be Active’, ‘Give’, ‘Keep Learning’, ‘Take Notice’ and ‘Connect with others’.
How do I do the challenges?
You decide how you do each of the challenges.
You don’t have to complete all 30 of the challenges, but the more you do the more they will help you to find ways to look after your emotional wellbeing.
Click on the challenge boxes below for tips and ideas to help you complete each challenge.
