Information, Advice and sources of support for young people in Suffolk

Priority access to Suffolk County Council jobs

Did you know that as a Suffolk Care Experienced Young Person you can have priority access to Suffolk County Council jobs before they are advertised more widely?

This is part of our Suffolk Local Offer to Care Leavers to help you make the transition from care into Adulthood and help you to reach your potential, whether that is going to college or university, taking up an apprenticeship or getting a skilled job.

If you are unsure as to what you would like to do, your personal adviser can give you help and advice and work with you closely to provide a plan for professionals to help you get there.  Equally, if you know what you would like to do but are not sure how to get there, you will be advised as to the best route to take to ensure you are on track.

If you would like to register for priority access to Suffolk County Council job vacancies, please talk to your Personal Advisor (PA) and they will arrange this for you.

To register you will need your own email address and access to a device to be able to view the job vacancies on the Suffolk County Council Redeployment Jobs Board.

Once your Personal Advisor has requested your registration, you will receive an email telling you how to view the vacancies and register for alerts if there are specific types of job that you are interested in. Your Personal Advisor can support you with this.
