Now in its ninth year, the Voices competition, is a special and celebratory event for children and young people in or leaving care to communicate their feelings creatively and contribute to the wider understanding of what it means to be care-experienced. The young finalists impressed the audience with their enormous potential and talent, along with our very own Steph and ‘Don’t call me on a Monday’.
Steph attended the Corum Voices Awards Ceremony, and although she didn’t win the top prize, she did receive a commended award. She was over the moon and had a fantastic time.

Steph said: (it was) Very emotional but so lovely. The comments from everyone was amazing and made me feel so empowered. Even done an interview and they want me to come back as a judge in the future.
We are all super proud and Steph’s song ‘Don’t call me on a Monday’ written alongside the other members of Children in Care Council C2C has been sent to lots of people around the council, especially those working with Children and Young People!
