Information, Advice and sources of support for young people in Suffolk

Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) services in Suffolk

We want to keep you informed about services for children and young people with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) in Suffolk.

Ofsted and the Care Quality Commission (CQC) recently checked how things are improving. They said there has been a big step forward in SEND services.

What is getting better?

  • Plans for support are being completed faster
  • Plans are better quality
  • People in charge are more organised
  • Services are using information better
  • Schools and services feel more confident

What does this mean for you?

  • You should get help more quickly
  • Services should work together better for you
  • Things are starting to improve

What still needs to get better?

  • Services need to work together more every time
  • Not everyone is having the same experience yet
  • Some changes are still new and need time

What happens next?

We agree there is more to do and will keep working to improve services for you and other young people.

Thank you! We are extremely grateful to you for continuing to share your lived experience’s. Your voice helps improve services and make real change happen.
