GAME Anglia – ELEVATE Lowestoft

Make your first game. Tell your story. In these hands-on workshops you will craft digital stories, gain game development skills, and connect with games industry professionals.

10 workshops, all fully free to anyone 14+, running across mornings and afternoons in the Feb half term at The Fort.
All participants will receive a full scholarship so you can join free of charge.

This February, we’re diving into narrative, characters, and storytelling in games, with a fun mix of creative and practical sessions you can sign up for, including:

  • Making a narrative game using Twine – (Monday 16/02)
  • Setting the scene in your narrative game – (Monday 16/02)
  • Sketch and costume design for game characters – (Tuesday 17/02)
  • Create cool characters with pixel art – (Tuesday 17/02)
  • Build your own storytelling game – (Wednesday 18/02)
  • How to add danger – (Wednesday 18/02)
  • Writing dialogue for games – (Thursday 19/02)
  • Create your own visual novel in Ren’Py – (Thursday 19/02)
  • How to ace a game jam – (Friday 20/02)
  • Game jam theme reveal – (Friday 20/02)

All sessions are beginner-friendly, so no prior experience is needed, just curiosity and an interest in making games 🎮✨
