The NHS is planning how community health services will work from 2027 and beyond — and your voice matters.
Suffolk and North East Essex NHS want to know:
- What’s working well for you right now?
- What could be better?
- How would you like to get support with your health and wellbeing in the future?
This includes things like mental health support, school nurses, health visiting, clinics, advice services, and other local health help you might use.
What is community health?
Community health is all about the NHS services that support you close to home — not in a hospital. These services are for everyone, including children and young people.
They help you:
- Stay well with early advice and support, and get help quickly if something urgent comes up
- Live healthily and independently wherever you are
- Manage long‑term or ongoing health needs so you don’t always have to go to hospital
- Get specialist help when you need something a bit more specific
To sum up…
“Community health services are the local NHS teams that help keep you well, support you when something’s wrong, and make care easier to access without needing a hospital visit.”
