Advent 30 Day What's Up Challenge 15 - Leave a happy note for someone to find

Why is this good for your emotional health and wellbeing?

This is a random act of kindness – we all need to know that we are not alone. And a little act of generosity like this can go a long way. So leave a positive little note for someone else to find and make their day. This will make you feel good too.

How to complete this challenge

Write a positive/happy note – it can be for a friend or family member to find, or for a stranger to find.

Positive notes of encouragement ideas:

  • “In case no one said it yet today, you’re great!”
  • “You matter. Be good to yourself. And let others be good to you, too.”
  • “You are beautiful.”
  • “You do an amazing job at being you”.
  • “You are enough”.
  • “Sending you good thoughts—and hoping you believe in yourself just as much as I believe in you.”
  • “Sending major good vibes your way.”
  • “Stay strong. Things are going to start looking up for you soon.”
  • “Do the things that make you happy!”

Places to leave your note:

  • A library – inside a book.
  • Kitchen cupboard at home
  • Pocket of a friends coat or bag
  • In a draw
  • Under a pillow
  • On a seat
  • Taped to a mirror
  • Write a note on toilet paper a few squares down and then re-roll it up.
