Advent 30 Day What's Up Challenge 26 - Avoid social media for 24 hours.

Why is this good for your emotional health and wellbeing?

Social media is great at connecting us to people, but recent studies have found it can also make you feel lonely – especially around Christmas time!

Social media can cause loneliness as it looks like everyone else is having an amazing time or have it all.

Social media makes it easy to compare yourself to others which increases negative feelings about yourself.

How to complete this challenge?

Take a break from social media for 24 hours.

You may find this a tricky challenge so you could do this together with your friends to avoid FOMO.

Taking a break away from social media doesn’t mean you need to go as far as deleting your account, but log off for one day, one week or longer, and see if taking a break from social media makes you feel happier?
