Advent 30 Day Challenge 3 - Draw a Christmas card to send to your local care home

Why is this good for your emotional health and wellbeing?

“Almost 1.5 million older people feel more lonely at Christmas than any other time of year.”

According to Charity Age UK,

Taking the time to think about those who may find Christmas a lonely time of year – like elderly people, helps you appreciate those by your side and is a kind, thoughtful thing to do.
By making a card to send to someone who may be feeling lonely over the holiday will not only make you feel good when creating it, but will also make the person receiving it feel good too, and they will appreciate it even more knowing that you took the time to create it for them.

How to complete this challenge?

Draw or paint a Christmas card to residents in your local care home or to someone you know who might be feeling lonely over Christmas.

If you don’t celebrate Christmas, then you can still do this challenge – you could draw a Winter landscape scene or draw something like a Robin, and just say ‘Happy Holidays’ or ‘Happy Winter Season’ instead.
