Ace Anglia deliver FREE NHS annual health check workshop sessions to people aged 14+ with Learning Disabilities in Suffolk as well as families, support workers and carers.
It is important that everyone over the age of 14 with a learning disability has an annual health check. The workshops aim is to increase the number of people attending their annual health checks, find out what went well and what could have been better so the NHS can make improvements, ensure people know what a good annual health check is, and make sure more people are confident to go to their doctors.
The sessions are about 2 hours long, we can adapt to suit you. The workshops are delivered by two of our Peer Educators supported by a Health Project Coordinator.
We cover West, Mid Suffolk and Babergh, Ipswich and Felixstowe.
The workshop is very interactive and accessible, with quizzes, guess the amount, props to look at and run for roughly one and a half hours with a 10-minute break.
Please see the links below for further information on the Learning Disability Annual Health Checks.
If you would like to book a workshop session, please reply to this email and I will make contact to discuss convenient dates.
