Information, Advice and sources of support for young people in Suffolk

Multi-Schools

Suffolk has joined the Multi-Schools council – https://www.multischoolscouncil.org.uk/

This will be another strand of our Young Person’s Network (SEND) https://thesource.me.uk/engagement-hub/the-young-persons-network-send/

The Multi-School’s council has been running for just under eleven years and was started in Essex. At first, four schools were involved, and this has grown to around 500 schools/colleges across the East of England.

Multi-Schools aims to:

  • Share your stories, ideas and experiences
  • Provide opportunities to join meetings and events
  • Run awareness sessions in schools
  • Tackle issues that you tell us are important
  • Break down stigma

At the heart of our council are children’s and young people’s voices.  Does it sound like something you are interested in?

In time, by educating children and staff in schools about our differences, we hope we will see a kinder society.

“The plan is to have a multi-schools council in every local authority across the UK because we firmly believe that we should be in a place where no matter who you are, you are included; you are equal, and you are given a fair opportunity to succeed. Together, we will make a change.”
