Information, Advice and sources of support for young people in Suffolk

#HelloYellow World Mental Health Day 10 October

Get your school or friends to take part in the #HelloYellow Campaign for World Mental Health Day 2024 and support YoungMinds Charity in raising awareness and donations to support young people’s mental health.

How do I take part in #HelloYellow?

Show young people are not alone with their mental health by wearing yellow for World Mental Health Day on 10 October, and help donate what you can to the YoungMinds charity who support young people’s mental health across the UK.

Right now, the world is a really tough place for children and young people to grow up in.
The Source website like YoungMinds, believe that no young person should feel alone with their mental heath. Young people deserve to get the mental health support they need, when they need it, no matter what. So ‘Wear it Loud, and be proud’ on World Mental Health Day by wearing yellow – because we stand brighter, together.

“Dig out your neon socks, custard scarf and banana hats – let’s say it ‘Loud, and be Proud’ for young people’s mental health.”

Things you can do:

  • Wear something yellow to school
  • Ask staff to wear yellow and donate £2 to YoungMinds Charity on the day.
  • Decorate your desk yellow.
  • Share #HelloYellow on social media with your friends and family.
  • Post a #HelloYellow selfie of you in a funny yellow outfit.
  • Go to the YoungMinds website and download their #HelloYellow fundraising pack and resources.
