Advent 30 Day What's Up Challenge 10 - Make some gingerbread (or bake some other food you like)

Why is this good for your emotional health and wellbeing?

Baking (cooking) is a great mindfulness activity as it takes your complete concentration – weighing ingredients, whisking and mixing them all together. And folding dough is really good at helping you to relieve stress and reduce negative thoughts. Plus I love the smell of gingerbread cooking. A handy tip – If you like your gingerbread to be softer to bite into then take it out of the oven a few minutes before the end cooking time.

Did you know…

Ginger has been associated with mood-enhancing effects! Some studies suggest that ginger can help towards our brain health due to it’s bioactive anti-inflammatory and antioxidant compounds. 😀
