To reduce loneliness…
- Ask yourself what is making you feel lonely? How could I change this?
- Look after yourself
- Reduce time spent on social media – heavy social media usage increases loneliness as it makes you feel like everyone else is having an amazing time, but social media only captures the best bits of people’s lives they want you to see.
- Remember you are loved and valued by those around you.
- Re-connect with someone you haven’t spoken to in a while.
- Join a group or club – find a club or activity.
- Try the Befriending Scheme
